I’m back home on the East coast after a wonderful trip to California. Since I am still on an earlier time I thought I’d go ahead and post an entry. This morning I woke up and went to the gym at the resort for a quick workout before my 5-hour plane ride (which did in fact get upgraded to first class completely free of charge). To get to the gym I walked through the beautiful resort grounds where the yard crew was mowing the pristine grass. Then it was through the spa building and past the pool where I relaxed a bit yesterday.
I did a 20 minute workout on the elliptical machine, sit-ups and back-ups (my name for reverse sit-ups to target the lower back) on the stability ball, leg lifts and butt kicks from a seated position on the ground. To wrap up this speedy workout I enjoyed a delicious glass of lemon strawberry water outside while I stretched near the spinning bikes (take note that next time I come to this place to take advantage of the free outdoor spin classes). I completed the workout with a few yoga sun salutations as I gazed out for one last inspired moment at the Pacific.
