Swing!


Week three of marathon training is in the books with Saturday’s completion of a 13.5 mile run.  Overall, still feeling strong and looking forward to a new week.  I have a bit of upcoming travel which will be interesting to see how everything fits in my schedule. Running in a new setting is always very energizing for me!  Expect some fun posts coming soon…

Yesterday, I played some golf with a friend to rest up a bit from Saturday’s run.  Although with all the walking on the course I’m not sure how much rest I really allowed.  You may have learned from reading my blog that I am always on a new adventure and love to stay active.  Golf is one of my newest ventures and I’m taking lessons starting in September.  I have some photos from the outing.  We definitely got what we paid for as the course was very much unmanicured but enjoying nature on a Sunday evening was pleasant and a good way to unwind before Monday. 

Week 3 Recap (8/14-8/20): 4 days of running totalling 33 miles, 1 cross training day (including weights and swimming)

Growing up I played soccer and softball (and tested track & field for one year). After college I ran a few 5K races, but running was really only a means to staying in shape for me.
