Week 16 has arrived at last! My final week of training. Countdown to the marathon is less than a week away.
Yesterday I completed my final long run, a ten-miler. It went ok at just a little over 1:30. I’ve been fighting a lingering cough the last few days–something that I must have picked up on my flight back from Denver. Planes are breeding grounds for germs and I usually return with something. So my breathing on Saturday was less than ideal. This week, I plan to make a full recovery, complete with lots of sleep and healthy eating. While I was busy today I did rest my body for a change. A few more shorter runs this week and I’ll be set for the big day ahead.
