These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

I joined Pinterest a few months ago but never actually logged on to the site. Many of my girlfriends told me about it and said once you join you will waste hour upon hour browsing and looking at “pretty” things. Over Christmas my mom showed me her pages, including a competition that she entered to win a free night stay at a resort where our family vacationed over a year ago. I told her if she wins, she must take me since half the photos she used were photos that I took.

So what’s all the fuss about this site? Surely I must have enough discipline to not go overboard.

Over the weekend I took the plunge and now I see! It’s like a little dream world of “these are a few of my favorite things!” Once I browsed around a bit and understood what it meant to build a “board”, I began to create my Pinterest page to meet my style and personality. I love checking out the pages of others as they really shed light into each and every single person’s character and stage of life they are in.

So far, you can find on my site the following boards: Home Décor Inspiration, Basement Room Decorating, Green Thumb Inspiration, Places I Love, Making Tutoring Fun, Short Hair Styles and most in line with the blog, Whip Yourself Into Shape.

On the fitness board I’ve added inspiring quotes, quick workouts (for tank top arms, waist trimmers and core work), and images of fitness equipment I want to get and learn how to use. It will be fun to see where it goes and perhaps offer some opportunities to grow my inventory of blog ideas!

Growing up I played soccer and softball (and tested track & field for one year). After college I ran a few 5K races, but running was really only a means to staying in shape for me.
