At the end of boot camp this morning our instructor told us that we did approximately 600 sit-up-like exercises to work the abs! Who is ready for that trip to the islands?!
Let’s just say we did a LOT of abdominal work (full sit-ups, flutter kicks, mountain climbers and a whole lot of other things I cannot remember the names of). I’m not so sure having a twilight view of the Jefferson monument necessarily helped the situation during one three round cycle of 30 repetitions for two exercises, but now that those exercises are done (even with the slight reprieve for some of us slower folks) I can appreciate the instructor’s view. “It’s all about what you tell your mind.” Basically the body will respond if the mind is syncing up.
Some teamwork at the end, involving scaling the side of a bridge underpass, also put to action what teamwork can do. Overall, a chilly wet morning but worth it in the end.
