Survival Of The Fittest

Yesterday my coworkers were joking (or maybe they weren’t) and suggested that they wanted to sign me up for a reality television show.  The question they asked:  “Would you rather be in a bikini eating worms or jumping from one airport to the next?”  I answered airports, which means I must be more of an Amazing Race kind of girl than a Survivor one.   Apparently they see a bit of hutzpah mixed in with my nice girl persona?   Is that what would catch people off guard?  Guess my secret is out!  And completing those early mornings of boot camp these last two weeks must have helped my reality television entry form—I could move around quickly from one spot to the next.  But all kidding aside, if it weren’t for the “everyone knows your business because you are on tv” I think I would get a kick out of some kind of show like the Amazing Race.  It would be an adventure and challenge; something out of the box to spice up life. 

For now, though I am going to enjoy the fact that I completed the two-week basic PT course! I made it through nine mornings of mostly cold, wet and tough workouts.  I did more push-ups and sit-ups than I’ve ever done in that amount of time.  More than most of the sports I played growing up, I learned that there is no “I” in “T-E-A-M”.  I’m going to join the group officially and enjoy the great outdoors as my own playground!

And this Bible passage especially resonated with me the other day.  I hope it inspires you in all you do.

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.  Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:25-26
